This is the first VLAX High School Summer League. We will have two divisions a Southern Division which will consist of San Diego based teams and a Northern Division which will consist of Orange County based teams. Intradivision games will be played on Wednesdays July 2,9,16,23. The Northern Division will play at San Clemente High School. The Southern Division will play at Rancho Bernardo High School. Interdivisional games will be played on Sunday afternoons June 29th and July 13, 20, 27(Intradivision). Games will be officiated by a certified lacrosse referee.
Details of the league:

* Games only; Practices is up to the coaches

Each team is expected to play 2x each Sunday; 1x on Wednesday.
Each team is expected to travel to OC 2x during the season...on Sundays
Each team will compete in 11-12 games
The season is to begin on 29 June.

Games will be played at:

- Sundays 12 PM / 1 PM / 2 PM
- Wednesdays 6 PM / 7 PM
( Note: Times are subject to change)

They will consist of two 25 minute running halves.

Includes; 2 certified Refs per game; Numbered pennies; insurance; Field lining and coordination.

* Positive Coaching Alliance - Parents / Players / Coaches / Refs - VLAX is a huge proponent of "PCA". I ask for your support to ensure that this Summer Lacrosse League upholds the tenants of that program. In essence, parents, players, coaches and refs all respect each other and respect the game of lacrosse. This is a summer lacrosse league and is intended to be competitive, but fun. This is a low contact (that does not mean not physical; but there will be no "take-out" blows) league and players are to work on their fundamentals; not their aggression. Parents / spectators are asked to cheer positive plays and leave missed calls alone.

* Players MUST check in. Only players that have:

- Registered, Insurance & have penny from summer league are officially allowed to play

* Every player must be properly equipped. Check prior to game. No exceptions. This includes a mouth piece

* Low HITTING RULE is in effect.

* Though competitive, wins and losses are not critical

* EVERY PLAYER WILL PLAY NLT 30% of the game!

* Players with bad attitude will not be tolerated. Back talk or trash talk will result in the player being sent home or removed from the league. This has never been an issue, but the expectation is established.

* No face off if one team is up by 4 goals.....tourney rules.

* Be ready to start all games on time.

* Ties settled by BRAVEHEART!

Please help to foster a competitive, but fun environment for the players. This is summer league and it is supposed to be social and fun.

VLAX Summer League will play games at San Clemente HS and Rancho Bernardo High School.

VLAX HS Summer League takes place between June 29 and July 30.

VLAX HS summer league is for high school athletes entering 9-12th grade.
